Israeli Palestinian sentenced to 5 months in prison for writing a poem

Have you not read the line where she rejects the peaceful solution?
Or where she wants to "evict" Jews from Israel?
The Israelis are evicting Palestinians from greater Israel. According to you, they must be rejecting a peaceful solution as well.

Really? Where are they supposedly evicting them to? Jordan?
Some of them. The gov't of Israel has been taking Palestinian land for decades and moving the inhabitants. That is eviction. Many of them end up leaving greater Israel.

And that is all part of Israeli policy. So according to your standards, Israel is engaging in violence.

"Resist" = violence. It's a call for violence.

I guess Martin Luther King Jr. and Ghandi never used that word to describe what they were doing then. You are so blinded by your bias you literally have to redefine words to justify the abuses of the authorities you worship.

Context!

In Palestinian-speak, "resist" and "resistance" refer to killing Israelis, especially non-combatant Israelis.

Besides, she is explicitly rejecting non-violence. That only leaves violence.

So your "context" is mind reading and making up the meaning that you want. Got it.

The poem rejects 'succumb[ing] to the "peaceful solution."' No line in the poem rejects non-violence. You have the arrogance to claim to read her mind and tell me what she means. And coincidentally that happens to be exactly what you would like her to mean. I don't buy it, because it is bullshit.

When the "peaceful solution" is really an act of violence and oppression, refusing to succumb to that "peaceful solution" should be considered the virtue of a survivor. Maybe there is more room for interpreting a poem than you think and maybe people shouldn't be thrown in jail for words that ACTUALLY don't incite violence.

Evicting, how? Where is Israel throwing anyone out of Gaza or the West Bank???

1984 is calling.

Here are a few examples:

https://972mag.com/israeli-army-to-evict-300-palestinians-from-jordan-valley/130679/, and
https://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/03/world/middleeast/03israel.html are but a few examples.

All one has to do is look at a map of Israel from 1967 and now to see reduction in land in Israel that was Palestinian.

Hard to imagine your ignorance on this issue is feigned.

Goalposts!

I asked for evidence of evictions from Gaza or the West Bank. You're only showing some poor examples of displacement. (#2 is about evicting squatters.)

I wrote Greater Isreal, not West Bank or Gaza. So, you are the one moving the goal posts.

As usual, you will post anything to avoid dealing with reality whenever it conflicts with your biases.
