I'm pretty sure Silly Season began on January 20 this year.

What would it take for this August to be silly compared to the what's happened so far?

Be imaginative. Be resourceful. You'll need to be. Post a silly season to make the rest of the year seem ho hum normal.

A shooting and a pistol whipping at a house party in a Yorba Linda left two people hospitalized and authorities searching for a gunman and one other person Thursday.Authorities investigate a shooting in Yorba Linda on Aug. 2, 2017.
Officials responded to the 21000 block of Dunrobin Way about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday after someone reported a shooting, Orange County Fire Authority Battalion Chief Chuck Fedak said.
Two men attending a house party at the location got into an altercation, which led to one of the men being shot in the leg, Orange County Sheriff's Department Lt. Lagaret said.
As the man was being transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a second wounded person was identified.
The second victim, who was also hospitalized, had been struck in the head with a gun, Lagaret said.

There are shitloads of people to stupid to own such dangerous things that serve no real purpose. The only person I know (a in-law) that used a gun, accidentally shot themselves. It wasn't lack of training so much as lack of common sense. Two years ago, in the town next door, we had a guard practicing his 'quick draw' in his yard and shot it off and killed a kid next door...
