An international terrorist enters the United States illegally, with no visa. FBI agents alert their superiors; the suspect is linked to more than 40 bombings — including blowing up a civilian airliner. He makes it clear he has no intention of renouncing violence to achieve his goals.
It’s a scenario that today would have public officials and politicians of all stripes expressing outrage — and demanding that the suspect be booted out immediately, or locked up indefinitely. But 25 years ago, the accused terrorist in question, a fiery, white-haired Cuban exile by the name of Orlando Bosch, was freed by the U.S. government in a deal cleared by the White House — thanks in part to the backing he received from the then president’s son Jeb Bush.

--- Will the far right radio barkers that try to link Obama and ex-radical Alinsky be just as loud about the Jebber's support for an avowed Cuban terrorist?

How about Cuba extradites Assata Shakur et al and then we talk about people like Bosch.

Orlando Bosch was a right-wing terrorist so he wasn't a terrorist, he was a freedom fighter.

Jesus, Derec. Can you ever give your thread-hijacking racial indignation a rest?

Derec's post is not even on-target since Bosch died in 2011. No one is waiting for his extradition. Derec's responding is like a knee-jerk response to keywords. Anyway, the thread is more about the history of Jeb Bush.

I think it's more about the partisan hypocrisy of people saying Obama palled around with terrorists while ignoring the actual terrorists that the guys on their side palled around with.

This thread is about an alleged Cuban terrorist harbored by US. But Cuba is harboring a cop killing radical and is refusing to extradite her. I think she is perfectly on topic here, especially given the level of support she enjoys on the Left.

Did not know that. But had he been alive, would you support extradition to Cuba? And do you then support extradition of convicted murderers like Assata Shakur to the US?

In the last GOP debate, there was much jingoism and slobbering about terrorism. And yet, the Jebber has a past history of supporting a terrorist. And that irony doesn't bother you? Is Bush fit to be president?
