Judy Tenuta, Popular Stand-Up Comic Known as ‘Love Goddess,’ Dies at 72

Is she the "It could happen" lady? I thought she was pretty funny.
That's her. My husband and I attended a couple of her stand up routines during the 80s when we lived in Raleigh, NC. We loved her comedy and were sad to learn of her demise early this morning.

She also used to say, "Hello Pigs" when she came on stage. My husband wore a pig nose once to her show. She was laughing her ass off when she saw it. She was a lot of fun.

I'll quote a very funny fellow comic from the hot minute back in the early 2000s when I was trying my hand at stand up:

I've seen insult comics trash one or two people and get laughs, but you have to be special to call the entire audience pigs from behind an accordion and have everyone love you.

Ovarian cancer sucks. It took Judy, Madeline Kahn, and Gilda Radner.

She was a friend of Stephanie Miller and was on her show quite often. Some tears on the show this morning.
