Lauren Boebert’s American Dream

Colorado Karen can fuck and make babies but possesses the maturity of a young, immature teenager.

Umm...what?

Rep. Lauren Boebert was busy working out if her ex-husband had thrown all of her belongings into a pond while her campaign manager spoke on her behalf at an event in Colorado's 4th congressional district last month, according to The Washington Post.

I think somebody needs to pull Boebert to once side and tell her, "Look, just become a pornstar pundit on OAN or Newsmax. You make more money and have to do a lot less work". White trashiness of the situation aside, who the fuck thinks Boebert supporters would want to meet up in a coffee shop of all places?

An outmaneuvered Lauren Boebert will face more obstacles in 2024 elections | US politics | The Guardian - "Colorado congressman Ken Buck’s abrupt resignation has left the far-right member with two tough choices, upsetting her re-election plans"

Late last year, Rep. Ken Buck announced that he was not going to run for re-election this year. Back in 2022, LB barely held on to CO-03 after a strong challenge by Democrat Adam Frisch. LB didn't want to face AF again, and she didn't want to face some fellow R incumbent. So when KB announced his departure, LB decided to run in CO-04 instead.

But on March 25, KB resigned his seat, triggering a special election on June 25, the day of the primary elections for the state's House seats. Would LB compete in that election? If so, she would have to resign her current seat. Would she pass on that election? She would be up against whoever won that special election.
She chose the latter. “I’m not leaving my constituents,” she said in a statement that failed to acknowledge she had already decided to walk away from them in November. “I will not imperil the already very slim House Republican majority by resigning my current seat.”

The statement also expressed anger at Buck, who outmaneuvered her and left her facing a seemingly narrow path to being a member of the next Congress. She accused Buck of “forcing an unnecessary special election on the same day” as Colorado’s presidential preference primary, predicting that it would “confuse voters, result in a lame duck congressman on day one, and leave the fourth district [being vacated by Buck] with no representation for more than three months”.

“The fourth district deserves better,” Boebert’s statement stated.

Unsaid was that neither the “lame duck” congressmember nor the primary choice of Republican voters in that district, most probably, would be her
KB resigned because he could not live with his party's support for Donald Trump's election denial.
“It’s ridiculous,” he told the Colorado Sun, stressing his decision to leave the House – where Republicans for the moment had a 219-213 edge over Democrats – was solely over his disillusionment at a lack of action in Congress.

Buck said: “I’m not giving anybody an advantage or disadvantage. I have done my very best to stay out of this primary election.”

But he did slam Boebert for attempting to fundraise from the situation, as she did in a tweet attacking the “uniparty”, a derogatory term used by conservative extremists to attack Republicans who work or vote with Democrats to pass bipartisan legislation.

Boebert Faces Election Obstacle With Split Ticket Proposition for Voters
By not resigning her seat, she will effectively have to convince voters to choose a "caretaker" in the special election and, on the same ballot, reject them in her favor for the GOP primary itself.

“Essentially what Lauren’s going to be asking voters to do is to vote for somebody else in the special election, but then against that same person in the primary and instead vote for her. And that’s — that’s definitely a heavier lift,” said Republican strategist Ryan Lynch.

...
The latest federal campaign filing, from the fourth quarter of last year, showed Boebert raising $540,000 and starting this year with close to $1.3 million cash on hand. Former state Sen. Jerry Sonnenberg (R), seen as one of her most formidable opponents, raised $154,000 in the last quarter and had almost $151,000 cash on hand. Businessman Peter Yu had $254,000 cash on hand, which includes a $250,000 personal loan.

...
“What I will say is that we’re going to continue and make it very clear that the congresswoman is looking to earn the support of Republican primary voters on the 25th [of June]. She’s got the proven conservative record,” said Drew Sexton, Boebert’s campaign manager.

...
“One event does not erase four years of being an absolute stalwart conservative on every issue when it comes to voting for Coloradoans and really, the American people, and I think people get that. Her work has not slowed down,” Sexton said, noting her Pueblo Jobs Act was signed into law as part of the annual National Defense Authorization Act.
Let's see how well she does.

Guess who likes her?
