I want so badly to be wrong, but if new daily cases are growing, how in the heck is allowing more and more people outside without protections going to make the growth rate not increase?

Trump has expressed his opinion that the virus will just go away on its own, so no need for all of the economic damage. Just reopen the state economies, and all of those smartypants medical experts and Trump-hating reporters will be shown to have been wrong. He'll be a hero, because he was right all along. Why is everyone always picking on him? They just hate him, and they make stuff up all the time. He is simply the most unfairly treated president in history.
