I have a question for any of you whow know anything about West German and East German law.
You were a Jew during the Nazi period and a policeman comes to arrest you and deport you somewhere outside of Germany. You had heard rumors Jews were being killed or put in labor camps instead of being relocated so you took your chances, pulled out a gun, shot and killed the cop, and fled succesfully. Nazi Germany falls and East Germany and West Germany are created as political entities. Depending on which one of the two you are in if and when it comes out out after the war you killed a policeman what would the legal systems in those countries do? Would they prosecute you for murder or would they take into account you literally were going to go to your death for no reason other than being Jewish and let you off?
