Lindsay Graham: lying to the FBI is no big deal

For decades, Republicans ran as the "tough on crime" party, such that they undermined our basic freedoms. They changed sentencing laws so that people were going to prison for life for stealing a pair of shoes.

But now that it's rich white guys getting convicted, suddenly they're wondering why there needs to be any punishment at all. I mean, it's not a big deal or anything. Mind you, we're not just talking about lying to the FBI, we're talking about lying to the FBI while treason is being investigated.

But it's not a serious crime like stealing shoes.
