This is a game we play once in a while on this forum, and it is about time now that we had a replay of it.

The last incarnation was here, with the rules explained as follows:

The goal of the game is this: Given 2 actors or actresses in our entertainment culture, other members here will try to link them together through work they have done. For example, if I were to give the names of Tom Hanks and Pierce Brosnan, a link could be created in 3 steps:

1. Tom Hanks was in Saving Private Ryan with Matt Damon.
2. Matt Damon was in Good Will Hunting with Minnie Driver.
3. Minnie Driver was in GoldenEye with Pierce Brosnan.

If you are able to create a link between the 2 given actors/actresses in fewer steps, go ahead and rock it.

Just for the benefit and enjoyment of playing this game, a few more rules need to be established---

1. Only stars working in their acting roles count. So links involving common directors, producers, writers, stunt drivers, etc. do not count.

2. The link can incorporate movie roles, documentaries, or TV roles. If using TV roles, the 2 actors linked via that TV show must appear in the same specific episode, not just the same general series (but do not have to have been in the same scene). Also, only their voice or physical presence needs to have appeared. So if they voiced different characters on the same animated cartoon episode, that is a valid link.

3. There is no specific number of links to try and aim for, just as few as you can. If you identify a link between 2 actors someone else names, you then get to name the next 2 for someone else to try. If either of them are obscure at all or maybe have a common name (so the exact reference is unclear), please consider linking to their IMDB profile as well. Just to be nice.

4. The movie/TV episode/whatever must have aired to the public already somewhere, sometime. So works that are just currently in development do not count.

5. No rules on what decades or eras the actors have to be from…just try your best to make it fun in some way for others to try and figure out.

To start us off here, let’s go with (edited):

Terrence Howard and Bruce Lee

Enjoy!

Thanks. You do not need to quote the entire OP again, but since you got this connection, you do get to name the next 2 actors/actresses for the next person to link up.

Fixed the quote to just have the relevant portion.

Next: Two drummers with acting careers, Levon Helm and Jason Schwartzman.
1. Levon Helm was in The Right Stuff with Jeff Goldblum.
2. Jeff Goldblum was in The Grand Budapest Hotel with Jason Schwartzman.

Next: Burt Ward of 60s Batman fame and Bert Ward of no fame.

Tough one:

Burt Ward was in Batman the TV Series with Vincent Price (several episodes)
Vincent Price was in an episode of Columbo with Peter Falk
Peter Falk was in an episode of Columbo with Dick Van Dyke
Dick Van Dyke was in Dick Tracy with Dustin Hoffman
Dustin Hoffman was in Agatha with Bert Ward

I also could have gone through Carol Burnett on The Carol Burnett Show to link Vincent Price with Dick Van Dyke, which was the tricky link for me.

Next up (unless someone can get from Burt to Bert in less than 5 steps): Martin Freeman and Edward G Robinson.

You can do a shorter Burt-to-Bert using Van Williams (TV's Green Hornet), who guest-starred in the Batman series and also on the Dick Van Dyke show.

Now the new one:

1. Martin Freeman was in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey with Christopher Lee
2. Christopher Lee was in The Crimson Pirate with Burt Lancaster
3. Burt Lancaster was in All My Sons with Edward G. Robinson

Next: Basil Rathbone and Robert Downey, Jr.
