Man Shoots At Pokemon Go Players

Little more information here

Good thing no one was hurt. If anyone had been killed what are the chances the guy would have invoked "stand your ground"?

Higgins feels he gives too many people too much courtesy... such as assuming the shooter must have shot at people prowling around his home... not at a vehicle speeding away from his home. What an asshole! Is this shit not against the law?!

It certainly is. There's no threat.

There doesn't have to be a threat . . . just a "perceived" threat.

Someone in a car on the road pulling AWAY from you.........not a perceived threat IMO. But of course, this IS Floriduh.

The only perception (scare quotes omitted) that matters legally is in accordance with the reasonable person standard.

well I live in Fl. On a dead end street. A car, on the street, at night (not moving) may make me look out the window but it's not going to be perceived as a threat. Nor is a car driving away.

My point being that the locality doesn't matter. I'm agreeing with you that this wouldn't be a perceived threat (legally speaking) and emphasizing that would hold true anywhere.
