PALM BEACH, FL -- The President was allegedly on fire when he was informed that his private golf resort in Florida was the location the Diamond Princess evacuees were taken.
White House officials confirmed that 112 Americans from the cruise ship under quarantine in Japan were flown to Palm Beach International Airport and then quickly shuttled to the 126 room, 18 hole golf course resort.
White House officials were not able to confirm whether the evacuees, who were under quarantine for another 2 weeks, would be shuttled elsewhere or if they would remain in Mar-a-Lago for the duration of the quarantine. Concerns regarding how Mar-a-Lago would be decontaminated also went unaddressed, as whether the best chocolate cake would be available.
No one in the White House or Pentagon or State Department could explain how the mistake happened and why the evacuees weren't taken to the more common location of an air base which is typically more isolated from the general population.
