So about the Jazmine Barnes case, was the misidentification of the suspect by the family due to implicit bias or was it deliberate to get more media attention.

It looks increasingly that it was a deliberate lie, as the mother was apparently online friends with the killer. There is even speculation that the shooting was a drug deal gone bad. If any of this is true, she should be charged as well.

The mother certainly made quite a bit of money based on the lie and the publicity it garnered.
