I have said more than once that few people protest religious hate and division. This is similar to Casteism - Caste divides people - just as religions like Christianity and Islam divide people based on religion. But I have seen plenty of articles, letters, movies etc protesting caste divisions, it is my view that few protest Religious-Casteism or Religious-Apartheid

I have been told that i am wrong - that there are plenty of people who do protest. I am looking for some evidence - the Tell's.

Can anyone please post links to articles, letters, editorials etc? or at least tell me how and where i should do a search? Forum posts do not qualify

I have tried to write articles on these issues (not that i am a great writer) and have seen my articles consistently refused publication. I would love to find some magazines or newspapers or web sites that would allow me to publish my thoughts.

If one more westerner brainlessly mocks Reincarnation, i think i will scream. We know nothing in this world comes without a cost, in every profession however glamorous and wonderful it might seem to us, there are downsides. A singer is rich, happy, famous, singing with joy and then suddenly faces a shooter who shoots her to death!

Heaven has its downsides, so does Reincarnation - it is my hope to give a different view of Reincarnation - a new view and like all brand new ideas(actually a view proposed by ancient Hindus several thousands of years ago - these people were so far ahead of their time it is mind-boggling) will face immense opposition

Reincarnation is poo poo.
- A Westerner.

lol so is Stoicism :-) - Actually i love Seneca. All these are ideas - Heaven is an idea, Reincarnation is an idea

Can you answer my question if you can? I heard millions are protesting religious ideas

You can always create your own website for little or no cost, and publish those articles there.

We know nothing in this world comes without a cost
Wisdom is free, but it still must be earned.

A view which is not correct. Ha, Jesus foolishly thought that a prophet was only hated in his hometown, and he certainly was glaringly shown wrong. And ancient Hindus are just obviously ahead of our time.

I am sorry that is a cop-out - i believe it was you who said Atheists speak out - well if they speak out then there should be tons of articles, letters and editorials - well, i am asking you to backup what you wrote. My writing a blog - there are millions of blogs - will be no different from me posting my views here on this forum - that's not what i was talking about

There are Tell's - i love sociology - how one can tell how someone is lying or what is going without anyone saying anything - I saw Oprah in amazement ask how many of you think without religion one is condemned to hell and many hands in her audience went up - that is a Tell - that is a tell that in today's society people think it is ok for God to be a Hitler and condemn people for their religion. If she had asked how many would publicly use the N word, few hands would be raised, because they know that raising a hand would lead to a backlash

Fact is that millions are NOT speaking up

Agreed, on your part.

I already did this last Thursday with an excellent Wiki page link. If you missed it, here it is again: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_religion
My writing a blog - there are millions of blogs - will be no different from me posting my views here on this forum - that's not what i was talking about
No, it answers your argument about hard work and such, you know? Earning it, instead of riding on someone else's coattails. I ran a free blog for more than a year that had over 2,000 posts. It only got around 3,000 hits, but I was doing this out of a labor of love to educate and entertain people.

Sorry, but the "tell" here is using an example from the Oprah show. She and her audience are morons.

Fact is that millions are NOT speaking up
Obviously, yet still many are.

I'd say there is far more protesting "other" peoples "wrong" faith/religion, than protesting religious hatred and division.

However, here one example where a crazy religious group (Westboro Baptist Church), caused sane people to unite against their hate. They have pics and further discussion in the article.
http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friend...ist-church-with-unity-positivism-and-resolve/
A few of us from the Santa Clarita Atheists and Freethinkers (SCAF) joined 200 to 300 members of the community to counter-demonstrate at each of the churches, despite the drizzle of much-needed rain. Groups from other churches and faith organizations, many students from Gay-Straight Alliance clubs at high schools and the community college, military veterans, and plenty of families and individuals turned out to overwhelm the little sidewalk bigot squad with a flood of harmony, acceptance, and love.

Division is an inherent aspect of religion/faith. Which is fertile ground for hate to develop.
Interestingly, Ramaraksha's an example. A believer in at least one Hindu superstition here to enlist atheist aid (or complain about the lack of it) in an inter-religious squabble with Christians.

Interesting indeed.......your position seems so overtly hypocritical. Here is a Tell...............

You are actually lamenting the very absence of the hateful religious segregation that .........
you desire to exist, so you can hatefully segregate it further and religiously protest/write against it in favor of reincarnation.

Further...........

Protests usually protest things that actually exist. That could be the reason why you don't see your desired hateful protests. Your perception is that Christianity is a religious caste system. You have not made the case that your perception actually exists in the real world. I surmise that is percisly why I don't see protests about unicorns either.

again here...

that is a Tell - that is a tell that in today's society people think it is ok for God to be a Hitler and condemn people for their religion.
.....and yet you think that it is ok to mindlessly label and condemn Christianity for matching your hatefully segregated perception of it. That is a tell of blind hypocrisy.

Now should you at this point, attempt to segregate and defend that your perception of reality is true then how are you different from those you are condemning?

Common sense, maybe not so common

I am against the concept of Heaven but that is hardly hate speech - even a lot of Hindus believe in it - Heaven is illogical and a fantasy but again not hate. But it has been used to set people apart - Heaven only if you join us, Hell if you don't. Setting people apart by religion, collective condemnation of billions of innocents - that's the part that should be hated and condemned & i don't see it. Hitler did the same - he is evil, recently ISIS is a great example of the same ideas - the Koran is full of it - while ISIS is condemned as evil, the dominant religions escape censure

There is good in religion and bad - Casteism in Hinduism is bad - and it has been condemned - i am asking for the same thing when it comes to western religions. There are plenty of articles, letters, movies and laws all condemning Casteism. How many articles, letters, movies or laws have you come across that protest religious-apartheid? Religious-Casteism? very few

See my latest post above this - people have beliefs - that is not wrong - it is not wrong to believe in religion or heaven or reincarnation - what is wrong is setting people apart based on it, preaching hate. People have been killed for being Atheist in the past, being Gay today - that is where i ask people to speak up

"Hindu superstition" - the idea came from India - hardly Hindu. Yes we proposed it but how does it harm anyone? Do we say if you don't believe in Reincarnation you get hell? Where is the hate?

A bit of common sense here - condemn bad ideas - the concept of Heaven is not a bad idea - stupid and silly and a total fantasy but where it becomes evil is when religions lay claim to it and start setting people apart - "You get heaven only if you are with us, otherwise you get hell" - people who didn't care for such a message were killed in the past, even today lots of discrimination based on religion in countries that you are not familiar with

Believing in something just to believe does already set us apart, and the rotten habit spreads like a disease.

Yes we proposed it but how does it harm anyone? Do we say if you don't believe in Reincarnation you get hell? Where is the hate?
It gives people a false idea of hope with no evidence

A bit of common sense here - condemn bad ideas - the concept of Heaven is not a bad idea
See above.

I would like to join the government of India in protesting casteism.

Wikipedia wrote "Article 15 of the Constitution of India prohibits discrimination based on caste and Article 17 declared the practice of untouchability to be illegal."

In 1955, India enacted the Untouchability (Offences) Act (renamed in 1976, as the Protection of Civil Rights Act). It extended the reach of law, from intent to mandatory enforcement. The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was passed in India in 1989.

Christians think that there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, and that we are all one in Christ Jesus - God's Son sent to save not just upper caste or lower caste, not just Israel or America or India, but the WHOLE WORLD.

Jesus didn't say go and preach the Gospel to your next door neighbor. He said preach the Gospel to ALL NATIONS.

I'll be more direct this time.
You completely missed my point.
I was pointing out your hypocrisy.
You emphatically condemn religions for being divisive......

I am against the concept of Heaven but that is hardly hate speech - even a lot of Hindus believe in it - Heaven is illogical and a fantasy but again not hate. But it has been used to set people apart - Heaven only if you join us, Hell if you don't. ....yet you seek divisive material to vengefully promote more religious divisiveness.

Your material request is divisive, hateful and full of revenge.

So.........

How are you any different from those you emphatically condemn?

That someone believes in the reality of a God they call Allah while others believe in the reality of Brahma creates a division in belief and faith. Allah is nothing like the concept of Brahma. Both sides cannot be right. One has to be wrong, or both are wrong. There, in faith, resides the source of division and potential conflict.

Christians think that there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, and that we are all one in Christ Jesus
Uh, yeah, right.
God's Son sent to save not just upper caste or lower caste, not just Israel or America or India, but the WHOLE WORLD.
A character of fiction attempted to corrupt a lot of people and succeeded, thanks be to the NT.

Jesus didn't say go and preach the Gospel to your next door neighbor. He said preach the Gospel to ALL NATIONS.
Jesus did not even preach and live by the Gospel, yet supposed Christians try in vain anyway.
