Yamamoto won the World Series.

It just floors me that guys making this much money would take such risks.

There seems to be something highly addictive about really large sums of money; Rich people want more - a lot more - while merely comfortably well off people seem to be much more easily satisfied with what they have got.
Certainly, engaging in crime and self-destructive behaviour, in order to obtain more of something you already have lots of, looks like addiction.

Well that's just it, Clase was throwing pitches for others to bet on for $5k in his pocket. Why? He was proving himself to be one of the best closing pitchers in baseball. Now he's looking at at least a lifetime ban from the game and at most the rest of his life behind bars. Which I totally do not agree with but that's neither here nor there.
