Yet again, a republithug shows that the gop hates women...

In an epic assessment of today’s Republican Party, MSNBC analyst and SiriusXMProgress producer Zerlina Maxwell summed up the ways in which women have long been under attack.

“I think that the focus of the Democratic Party since November 2016, has been trying to push back against an agenda that is anti-woman,” she began. “That’s why you see women organizing across the country since Election Day. People that have not been involved in politics. So the [Brett] Kavanaugh confirmation actually is a moment in which it’s just an inflection point.”

She noted that it brought women together around a very specific fight. While it was lost this time, the fight doesn’t end today.

Geez. I'm sorry but a majority of white women voted for Trump. There's a good chance that women will lose the right to a safe abortion and other health care issues. If they want something different they should get off their butt and vote.

The majority of white women did not vote for Trump.

A large percentage said the whole thing is a farce and didn't participate.

It is like voting for which king you want to whip you.

Who gives a shit?

Are you looking for a response from me? Here's a fact: a majority of white women voters voted for Trump. To assume that women are anti-trump is a faulty assumption. If people feel that I'm unfairly stating their position, then get off your ass and vote next election.

If a woman is not anti-Trump I would need to know why she supports him.

Many support him based on delusions and many based on untruths and some because of bigotry but won't say that.

An extraordinarily slim majority of women who voted - less than normally vote Republican; far less than white men who voted for Trump.

Despite frustration with the majority support that Trump received from white women in 2016, historical data make the story a bit more complicated. Trump got a smaller percentage of white women’s votes (52 percent) than did Mitt Romney in 2016 (56 percent), John McCain in 2008 (53 percent), or George W. Bush in 2004 (55 percent). The truth is, most white women vote for Republicans — and they have for a long time.

Exit poll data found that 52 per cent of white women voted for Mr Trump, compared with 63 per cent of white men.

Among right-wingers, women show how "strong" they are by meekly enduring misogyny. Right-wingers like to snicker about what weaklings feminists are for objecting to such conduct.

Not really disagreeing with you, just elaborating:

"women" won't care, since "women" aren't a monolith. The pro-life, pro-choice position is split about 50-50 in the US. The numbers fluctuate around that. About 40 percent of pro-life people are women.

I guess it depends what you mean by "far less".

In any event, I recall looking at the numbers soon after the election, but the proportions of demographic groups that voted didn't really change much from previous elections, at least comparing it to Bush II for example.

Indeed,

Right. How conveniently facts fit in with your political narrative. How amazing!

Yeah, a few percentage points fewer white women voted for the guy who bragged about molesting women than for the Republican candidates not accused of molesting women... and peering at half naked teens. Not impressed there.
