Mt.McKinley

I don't think the mountain really cares either way. I hollered, "HEY, MCKINLEY", at it and got absolutely no reaction. So I tried hollering, "HEY, DENALI", at it and got no reaction to that either. Maybe we haven't figured out yet what its name really is???
 
Yeah, when I heard Ohio was against it, all I could wonder was... how many people in Ohio:
  • know there is a President McKinley
  • know that President McKinley was from Ohio
  • know that there is a mountain named after him... in Alaska
 
If the Prez was smart, he'd have backed a resolution to call it Mt. Reagan. Speechless Republicans -- now that would be a national treasure.
 
Thanks Obama! Who could have thought he'd be such a socialist that he'd turn our mountains into Islamic communists?

The river. The river in Egypt. Well, it's a river, and it's a river in Egypt, but the river (the river in Egypt) is not just a river (or just a river in Egypt). The river is now more than just a river. The river in Egypt is now more than just a river in Egypt. What else, now, is the river (other than merely being a river in Egypt)?

Yes, the term, "Denali" has more than one referent, but you spoke of Denali, and it's clear that the referent is the river, by how it was written; however, given the discussion taking place in the thread, I suspect that what you really meant is that the term Denali no longer just refers to the river in Egypt, but just in case I'm wrong, I just had to ask.

Either that or I'd have to go to the lounge and tell Gmbeach (in the what am I thinking thread) that I'm thinking about SUV's.

No worries. Drive your SUV on GM Beach all you want -- as long as it's a Denali.
 
Weather or not.

Nice big snow here.
Good break after a wet wet fall.
Last winter was lame..
Skiing is a big thing here.
Climate science says we will get a warm wet winter.
Alaska has been warmer.

Just came in.Big snow!
Wish I could still skii .
