In an election that stands out for hate speeches, name calling and unambiguous attempts by political parties to polarise voters, comes another controversial comment from the Samajwadi Party's Abu Azmi.

Mr Azmi said at an election rally in Khalilabad, Uttar Pradesh, "If any Muslim opposes the Samajwadi Party, have a DNA test done, he could be an RSS man. Muslims who don't vote for the SP are not true Muslims.

At stake in Uttar Pradesh are 80 Lok Sabha seats. In the last general election Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samjawadi Party, the Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party got almost an equal number of seats, leaving only 10 for the BJP.

This year the BJP, led by prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, has strategically aimed at winning a rich haul in UP as a crucial part of its attempt to emerge the winner in these elections.

This has meant a big scramble for the other parties to retain and consolidate their vote-banks in the state. Both the SP and the Congress have aggressively wooed the substantial 18 per cent Muslim voters in UP.

Mr Azmi is not new to controversy. He earned widespread opprobrium a few weeks ago, when he was quoted as saying that rape victims should be punished. He later denied making such a remark.

Earlier today, acting on the advice of Abu Azmi, Azam Khan had ordered a DNA test on his buffaloes to find out their faith and loyalties. Azam had plans to sacrifice and eat those buffaloes who were revealed to be infidels. However to his relief, all his buffaloes had a similar DNA to that of Abu Azmi.
Though Azam Khan was delirious, his buffaloes were a shattered lot, with many of them having vomiting sensations after realizing that Abu Azmi was one of them.
The fact that they turned out to of same faith as that Abu Azmi not only shocked them but also left them confused.
“How can DNA of a buffalo and a donkey match?” wondered 16 year old buffalo Shazia who had earlier tried to escape from Azam’s custody.
Buffaloes, who were earlier facing tough competition from their owner Azam when it came to producing bullshit were, now worried that with Abu Azmi too in fray, they may have to eat more.

However, some close and intelligent animal friends of buffaloes tried to console them by arguing that there is no way to find out anyone’s faith through DNA test, and hence they need not worry.
While some buffaloes made peace with the fact, but some weak-hearted buffaloes were just not ready to buy it and were seen considering animal change operation on the lines of sex change operation.

DNA is the best possible evidence for evolution, so of course creationists believe that it is evidence of their religion (but not any other religion). You'll find similar arguments from Christian creationists.
