My Easter Blog Post: Dating The Gospels

As is the case with new scholarship like Nina Livesey’s recent book on Paul’s letters as pseudonymous, it sometimes involves for the reader a back and forth with implications trying to appropriate the new materials. Here's where I'm at on dates: https://secularfrontier.infidels.or...nina-livesey-paul-and-robert-m-price-gospels/

Am I correct that you place almost all Paul's writing in the 2nd century, and the Gospels even later than that? Whatever the circumstantial evidence for that might be, it necessitates a huge amount of special pleading to account for mentions of James the Brother. Does your hypothesis depend on some elaborate hoax?

@1Heidegger1! -- I do hope for clarity about the Gospel dating.

Refusal to answer simple questions makes the "anti-Christian fictionalists" -- if that's what these are -- seem as ridiculous as Christians who wonder whether water flowed over the Earth's edges during the Great Flood. 8-)
