Haliburton's wild shot keys Pacers in G1 stunner

Tyrese Haliburton sent Game 1 to overtime with a dramatic buzzer-beater, and the Pacers pulled off their latest playoff comeback in a 138-135 win over the Knicks.

Entering Wednesday, teams that trailed by nine or more points in the final minute of the fourth quarter or overtime in the playoffs were 0-1,414 since 1998, according to Elias Sports Bureau -- now they are 1-1,414.

This is pretty cool. That shot is the first time they led the whole game. Plus, I didn't hear anybody taking about them going into the playoffs, despite their strong finish to the season. And few gave them a shot in this game or series. A fantastic postseason run so far.

Yeah it was pretty spectacular. My wife and I are rooting for OKC, but an Indianapolis win would be OK because we like their coach, Rick Carlisle, who took our team to its only championship. In any case, this series gives the lie to the conspiracy theory that the NBA rigs the finals so it only includes large-market teams.
