So, while we wait to see what happens with Watson this year (NFL wants 1 year suspension), the Cleveland Browns made another smooth deal, trading Baker Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers for a whole fifth round pick... and still having to eat $10.5 million of his contract (Panthers are only going to pay $5 million as part of the deal).

As a reminder, the guy who likely will miss at least a portion of this season was traded for with their 2022 first-round pick, 2023 first and second-round picks, 2024 first and fourth-round picks. Browns also got a Fifth round pick (2024) along with a metaphorical truckload of baggage out of that "deal" too.

But at least Mayfield is free. Hopefully he can do well enough in Carolina. Browns fans are on the edge of their seats just waiting to see who the Browns select with that pick. Maybe they can trade that for the rights for Michael Vick.

Funny! Yea, Cleveland made an absolute disaster of a trade. Watson won't play this year.
 
And where do the Browns play Week 1? That’s right: at Carolina. I hope Baker lights them up, but it will be interesting either way.

Just to clear that up, not only that but Cleveland is paying around $600,000 to Mayfield in that game to beat them.
 
Watson suspended 6 games. This sends a strong message to the players in the NFL that sexual harassment won't be tolerated... for several weeks.
