Nigel Farage quits UKIP

So the Brexiteers are further dissolving into chaos. Now we are supposed to believe that Farage has had a change of heart, and all of a sudden he has decided that bigotry is a bad thing instead of a good thing that will contribute to the prosperity of Britain by kicking out all the dirty Eastern Europeans and dark peepul.

So... anybody here form the UK? I know very very little about this.

UKIP is the UK Independence Party, right? I just read about it for the first time in any sort of depth. So, if racist elements have coopted UKIP, what is the alternative independence party for the UK and Brexit? Or are we painting anyone who wants UK to leave the EU as racist? Just how far does the actual racism go in this? I saw Tommy Robinson's name. Is that the worst of it? Or are there full on kkk type people involved?

UKIP are classic populists. They have strong opinions on everything and are in general against everything. But have no vision and want nothing concrete. The thing that kills any populist movement is success. Winning the Brexit referendum was the worst thing that could happen to UKIP. It showed everybody that they had no idea what they were doing. Trump is a similar character.
