North Korean or Religious Nut? Hard to Tell

If you hear the words, "Our Dear Loving Leader loves us all, he will lead us to great heights and prosperity. We live in joy and happiness. We only read his book and thoughts, all other books are evil, misleading and untrue"

Can you tell if these words are the words of a frightened North Korean or a Religious Nut Job?

How many times have you heard or read the writer or presenter of the video talk about how North Koreans must be brain-washed to say such things, completely ignoring the fear in such words? And yet the same people completely miss the real brain-washing that is going on in the free 1st world?

Amazing, just amazing to see the power of religion to brainwash even the best of us. Even the best of them seem to brainlessly repeat what they have been told all their lives, never once questioning these ideas - "Heaven cannot be Earned" - they say proudly never once realizing that religion is simply using a ploy to force people into their religion. It also says these religions are corrupt - for that is what happens in corrupt countries - Jobs, Contracts are not earned - they are given based on contacts and the ability to bribe the right people. Amazing just amazing that people live in the 1st world, look down upon corrupt countries and yet follow a religion that does just that!

Yep say something and instead of focusing on what is being said resort to personal insults. Tell me the difference between the two - does God not resemble a Dictator like Kim Jong Un - will reward his loyal followers with Heaven and dump the rest of us into Hell?
Simple and primitive ideas that gave rise to these religions
And yes I do believe Hinduism is far superior to these primitive religions

We didn't kill the Buddha - the Buddha went around Hindu India and preached against it - nothing happened to him. The Sikhs has 10 gurus! 10 Teachers! Again nothing happened to them. If these people had been born in Christian or Muslim lands we would have Buddhism or Sikhism today!

That is because God is not a Master/Dictator - only rewarding his followers. How any educated person can think of a God who created this vast universe but is only interested in dividing people is beyond me

I always thought there are no pure Atheists - my point mocked Christianity so you have come to defend it, I assume the religion that you grew up in. So you can mock Christianity all you want and I guess Islam and Hinduism and all those other religions but a Hindu cannot mock the religion that you grew up in

No, it's just weird to see someone mock crazy beliefs while professing similarly crazy beliefs and that weirdness is worth pointing out.

It's like if someone dressed up as Captain America starts calling another guy a dork because he's dressed up in a Batman suit. The takeaway from that is not his point that DC sucks.

Sure, the point that DC sucks may very well be a valid point but that point gets lost underneath the larger issue in the situation.
