On your rag? Take paid menstrual leave.

That makes even less sense than what you originally said. Which is astonishing, because what you originally said made no sense at all.

Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it makes no sense.

To have somebody's number means you understand their psychology and you are able to use that understanding to manipulate them. You claimed Andrew Sullivan had my number.

Andrew Sullivan doesn't know me from a hole in the ground, let alone 'has my number'. Yeesh.

Well, first, no, it means to understand someone not all the rest of it necessarily, second, you're being way too literal which is interesting because you often use literary devices yourself like hyperbole, and, third, since Andrew Sullivan has quite a few similar beliefs to you, I'd say that he does in fact figuratively understand you and "Andrew Sullivan" is an adequate answer to your question as well.

Hey, but don't take my word for it:
Andrew Sullivan said:
Chait has lots more where that came from. But the essay really deepens in the comparison between the early 1990s – when political correctness made its first appearance – and now. The difference is that the illiberal policing of speech, the demonizing of dissent, and extreme identity politics have now transcended the academy and arrived in social media with a vengeance. Twitter and Facebook encourage mutually reassuring groupthink, in which individuals are required to “like” anything that isn’t white, male, cisgendered etc., in which an ideology is enforced by un-friending those with other views instead of engaging them, and in which large numbers of Twitter-users can descend on a racist/sexist/homophobic etc miscreant and destroy his or her career and social life in pursuit of racial/gender/orientation “social justice”.

You sound just like him.

I looked up several idiom sites and the second part is part of the definition.

It would have made more sense for you to say 'Metaphor has Andrew Sullivan's number'.

You sound just like him.

What, reasonable? I sound reasonable? I'm glad to hear it.

The fact that you view Andrew Sullivan as reasonable should tell you something. I will leave you to analyze whilst not being reactive or responding to what that something could possibly be.

Yes, it tells me I find his reasonable positions reasonable.

Give them more sick leave...whats wrong with that.
Mind you I do love women :)

As far as I'm concerned they can have as much as they need, Such beautiful creatures they are

And you sir, are the part of the problem. I am sure you also think men should pay for all dates too.

I don't think men should do anything, but there have been many occasions when I have enjoyed paying for dates. That doesn't mean that you should.
I happen to think women in general are wonderful beautiful creatures. If you don't agree then that's no reason for you to get upset (which you obviously were to give me a negative rep).

Women are beautiful Derec, appreciate them and I suspect the many problems you tell us all about on here might vanish. Try it
