The Alabama Justice Project has obtained documents that reveal a Dothan Police Department’s Internal Affairs investigation was covered up by the district attorney. A group of up to a dozen police officers on a specialized narcotics team were found to have planted drugs and weapons on young black men for years.

The guy who covered it up should get a life in prison.

Either that or he needs to find himself on the receiving end of a really strongly worded internal memo which politely asks him not to do it again. Then put that shit in his permanent file.

If true, this would indeed be very bad. But how reliable is the source?
After all, this "Henry County Report" publishes articles like this:
Who Needs Farley Nuclear Plant, 60 Min on this Device Powers a Home for 24 hours
Needless to say, it's nonsense.
The author himself, Jon B. Carroll, likes to write against police and seems to have a hate hard-on (or is at the very least nursing a semi) for local DA Doug Valeska judging from his article history.
So we should withhold judgment until and unless this is reported by a reliable source.

Funny how some people do not hold to that standard of withholding judgment when it comes to unsubstantiated actions by blacks "thugs".

Well, they posted source documents so unless you want to refute what those source documents actually say . . .

If it's not true then author should get life in prison :)

Finally, an opportunity for Obama's DOJ to do something actually related to Police corruption and abuse of office. We shall see if it has the integrity to do more than harass and bully innocent cops as a response to minority enraged mobs, and actually go after a serious case.

I am not holding my breath.

All those black people that were railroaded into prison are part of those statistics that say blacks commit so many crimes.

I don't want to refute anything - I don't know if the claim is true or false, but I do know that the source is hinky.
And if true, I am with the others that said that those responsible, including upper echelons, should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

You don't think whites and those of other races ever get railroaded?

I'm pretty sure it was mostly black people, given the demographics of Dothan. Should we railroad more whites, just to make things fair?

The documents refer to planting drugs on black men. Unless you have any evidence that these police are accused of planting drugs on other races, your question is moot.
