Also, the victim is his friend and it was an accident. Officer's name is Victor Hill. His friend is Gwenevere McCord.

McCord, a 43-year-old real estate agent from Jonesboro, and Hill were alone inside a home on Britt Trail Drive when she was shot in the stomach. Hill called 911 to report the shooting, saying he and McCord were practicing “police tactics” when she was shot, police said.

McCord has corroborated Hill’s statements to investigators.

What was he doing practicing police tactics with her? It turns out that she is a criminal justice major and has an interest in law enforcement. Since the shooting, she applied to work in his office.

You are forgetting to add that he is only being charged with a misdemeanor. Also, he is not a "police officer" but the sheriff (elected position) of Clayton County, one of the more dysfunctional counties in this state.

Well, being black she'd be "qualified" to work for him. This is the same piece of shit racist sheriff who fired all white deputies a few years ago.

How is any of your unsupported hyperbole and ranting relevant?

None of it is hyperbole. It provides correction of your misstatements and further background about the indicted sheriff.

Speaking of relevant, how is your very title relevant, given how white police officers have been indicted before.

A lot of things police do are unnecessary and risky to civilians. Some are SOP and some are not.

Is practicing tactics inside a house with loaded guns SOP?
Delta force does that and solders act as hostages while their team members shoot target dummies around them. They say it promotes unit cohesion and trust.

Let's set the record straight Derec. There is a lot of racial tension in Atlanta, suburbs, and Georgia in general and being from there you are engulfed in its effects. That is why race is such a hot button issue for you.

Now let's look at the history of the back-and-forth between Hill and other sheriffs.

2005:
On his first day in office in January 2005, Hill fired 34 deputies, most of them white...

2009:
On his first day on the job Thursday new Clayton County Sheriff Kem Kimbrough fired 14 deputies.

In any case, this whole thing would be a derail except it shows how a Black sheriff can get in trouble with the law.

No, the reason is this incredible double standard built upon the ridiculous dogma of "only whites can be racist". Nobody is going to dispute that there is white racism in Metro Atlanta but there is also black racism, even though many do not want to acknowledge it because it is not politically correct.

Now let's look at the history of the back-and-forth between Hill and other sheriffs.
Hill is a bad sheriff and a racist as well. There is no way around it. As to my claim that Clayton County is dysfunctional, their school system lost accreditation, first county to have that happen to it in 40 years. Same people who voted for Victor Hill voted for that school board.

And that surprises you why? White sheriffs have gotten in trouble with the law as well, so I don't see what point you are trying to make here.

Derec, first, sheriffs are police officers. Second, while White sheriffs may have gotten into some trouble, we do not observe anything but excuses from some here. Third, as far as double standards, we are always hearing "innocent until proven guilty," like in the Zimmerman case from you, in particular, but also some others. Now, this guy is indicted, and there is no "innocent until proven guilty," just the same kind of nasty commentary from you that you direct toward victims of police brutality and Trayvon Martin and women.
