President Biden's Infrastructure Plans

Trump unloads on 13 Republicans who backed Biden's infrastructure bill | Fox News
Former President Trump in remarks at the National Republican Congressional Committee dinner Monday openly blasted the 13 congressional Republicans who supported President Biden’s infrastructure bill in a vote Friday.

Fox News Digital has confirmed from sources at the dinner that the former president criticized the 13 Republican defectors in a lengthy speech Monday night in a room where at least one of them, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, was present.
Juliegrace Brufke on Twitter: "Per a source at the NRCC dinner with Trump last evening: “He railed on 13 Rs who voted for infrastructure with Nicole Malliotakis there. She was visibly shaken by it.” The source added it was a lengthly speech and Trump was friendly with McCarthy." / Twitter

For her part,
Malliotakis Votes to Secure $27B+ for NY Infrastructure & Against Advancing of Socialist Spending Spree | Representative Nicole Malliotakis

Nicole Malliotakis on Twitter: "I cast my vote FOR the bipartisan infrastructure bill and AGAINST advancing the socialist spending spree. For far too long our leaders have failed to modernize our aging roads, highways & bridges, upgrade sewer systems & implement flood resiliency projects (link)" / Twitter
She then made a video for Facebook, stating "Last night, I REFUSED to vote with AOC & the Socialist Squad. I voted for Stated Island and Brooklyin instead."

Several of the other Republicans released similar statements, including Bacon, who said the bill will make the nation "stronger."

"Most of the hard infrastructure bill is paid for by unspent COVID money that was already appropriated by Congress. This bill makes our nation stronger and more competitive for years to come," Bacon said in a statement. "Make no mistake. This is not the Bernie Sanders’ Socialist Budget Busting Bill, which would’ve cost American taxpayers their hard-earned money. When that bill does come to the floor for a vote, I will be a hard ‘NO.’"

Lauren Boebert on Twitter: "RINOS just passed this wasteful $1.2 trillion dollar “infrastructure” bill.

Pelosi did not have the votes in her party to pass this garbage.

Time to name names and hold these fake republicans accountable." / Twitter

Rep Andy Biggs on Twitter: "Republicans who voted for the Democrats’ socialist spending bill are the very reason why Americans don’t trust Congress." / Twitter

I decided to find the ideology scores of the Republicans who voted yes to the bill: Report Cards for 2020 - Ideology Score - All Representatives - GovTrack.us

Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio 0.47, Fred Upton of Michigan 0.55, John Katko of New York 0.56, Tom Reed of New York 0.56, Chris Smith of New Jersey 0.57, Don Young of Alaska 0.61, Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey 0.62, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania 0.64, Adam Kinzinger of Illinois 0.66, David McKinley of West Virginia 0.69, Don Bacon of Nebraska 0.77

New ones: Andrew Garbarino of New York, Nicole Malliotakis of New York

So they are relatively liberal by Republican standards.

Well, after republicans got their $6T in entitlement spending.
What do you mean? Be specific.
I think it's only fair that everyone gets $2T.
Everyone? I think the main beneficiaries of B3 would be a) people with children (especially a lot of children) and b) people in high-state and local tax blue states that itemize their deductions (and the more they make, the more they would benefit from the SALT cap lifting).

I am not going to argue about specifics of the infrastructure plan, I don't even know it what you say is even true. My point is, people who just wasted 6 trillions need to shut the fuck up.

I mean, this is kind of the point of this thread. Also, B3 is not an infrastructure bill.

I don't even know it what you say is even true.

From here.

My point is, people who just wasted 6 trillions need to shut the fuck up.
You still have not provided specifics about that $6T. Which particular program(s) do you mean?

Again, I am not convinced what you claim is true. Oh I see, just you admitted that what you claim is not true.

Republicans wasted $6T on themselves dying from Covid19.

I did no such thing!
Republicans wasted $6T on themselves dying from Covid19.
So not really $6T in "entitlement spending". I am against anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers as anyone here, but let's keep this discussion real, ok.

I thought we were talking about infrastructure plan and how republican idiots are against it because Biden is behind it.

It's very much entitlement, these imbeciles don't follow medical recommendations yet feel entitled to free medical help and such to the extent of $6T. So these fuckers need to shut up about $775B you find outrageous.

I thought we were talking about infrastructure plan and how republican idiots are against it because Biden is behind it.
The thread is about both the actual infrastructure plan (BIF) and the B3 plan called "(human|soft) infrastructure" but which is mostly about entitlement spending.
BIF passed in both chambers and is awaiting Biden's signature. B3 is still being debated.

Yeah, there are already several threads about COVID. No need to derail this thread over it.

Trump promised a lot of infrastructure spending in his campaign, and he held a lot of "Infrastructure Weeks", but he never got anywhere.

And Biden said, “Finally, infrastructure week." Wicked burn.
A pretty on-point comment for someone who's supposedly suffering dementia.

Well, by Democrats at least.

Except the anchor on the economy that is the unvaccinated is most definitely real. These assholes are now complaining about inflation, something they are a large responsibility for, as it is supply chain related.

Yeah. Like average Americans should be entitled to have their tax dollars spent on them. The lazy bums should worry more about maximizing their productivity and less about who's entitled to what. They should be grateful they get to go to the bathroom during working hours.

Joe: Uh oh, guess what week it is? Guess what week it is! Huh, anybody? Donald, guess what week it is. Aw, come on! I know you can hear me! Mitch, Mitch, Mitch, Mitch, Mitch! What week is it, Mitch?

It’s Infrastructure Week.

Whoot! Whoot!

oh "sh'/noes'it".. are you serious... you are going to have to explain how bernie's code language is different from palin shriek....
where's the popcorn emoji????

The Republican tax cut for the rich.
Well Barbos already admitted that what he had in mind was anti-waxxers costing the healthcare system a lot.
The 2017 tax cats were not $6T big I don't think. And they reduced almost all tax brackets, not just the top ones, and increased the standard deduction, that helps the majority of taxpayers who do not itemize. At the same time, the SALT deduction, which only helps those who itemize and mostly helps high earners, was capped.

Incidentally, the B3 includes a 7x increase in the SALT deduction cap. So Dems like tax cuts for some rich.

To get back to actually talking about what is in the bill. The B3 has some EV credits, but it discriminates against cars made by companies such as Tesla and Toyota just because they do not have a union. Joe Manchin is against it, so hopefully this will be rectified in the final bill.
Manchin: EV tax credits favoring Detroit Three, UAW are 'wrong'
