So... the House Budget plan is out. Go take a look. Great look at what I would consider fan fiction for accounting.
Here are the quick summary tables which just expose this fetid piece of shit plan that creates a surplus by 2027. Okay, okay, when I say "creates a surplus", please keep in mind that this isn't an actual accounting plan, but a fan fiction. Fan fiction can sometimes be really good. But usually it is crap, because people just aren't good with coming up with ideas. This fan fiction of Congressional budgeting has a funny line in it, "Macroeconomic Impact on the Deficit". (Nitpick, there are two spaces between Macroeconomic and Impact) More importantly, it predicts that between 2024 and 2027, the changes in the budget will benefit the economy by $1.12 trillion.
Why does that matter? Isn't stuff like this always included?
Not really. If one thinks the economy will be rosy, you include that in the GDP, not a different line item. So, the GOP has come up with a new sort of "Plasma Conduit" solution to accounting. Not only will the economy be good, but they can reroute deficit spending through the Plasma Conduits or in this case "Macroeconomic Impact on the Deficit", and wipe out $1.12 trillion... because... without that, their budget creates $1.5 trillion in deficits between 2024 and 2027, which wouldn't be a balanced budget.
And this assumes all of the other numbers are accurate!!!
This budget is shit.

- The House bill puts a huge brake on Medicaid spending, from $490 billion in '18 to $563 billion in '27, which is likely $300 billion shy in '27.
- Spending on the War on Terrorism is zero'd out by '27, offering about $200 billion in savings, minimum.
This budget is shit.
