There seems to be no depth the religicans won't sink to.....

A top Republican super PAC is trying to scare Kansas voters with an ad featuring a Republican official masquerading as just another concerned mom of four. In the Congressional Leadership Fund ad, a concerned, slightly angry-looking Alana Roethle claims that Democrat Sharice Davids has an “extreme agenda that would put families at risk.” The agenda, apparently, is not building a border wall or deporting enough immigrants, something that’s “too risky for Kansas families,” according to the ad.

It’s typical Republican race-baiting fare, but they got awfully lazy on the casting:

What Roethle does not say in the ad is that she is secretary of the Kansas Republican Party and a member of the Kansas Lottery Commission, who was appointed to her seat by then-Gov. Sam Brownback in 2015.

Sharice Davids is a Native American former White House fellow raised by a single mother. She describes herself as having “focused my career on bringing equity and opportunity to underserved communities.” She has also been endorsed by Daily Kos as we work “to expand the playing field by getting involved in more difficult races, many in red-leaning districts.”

You want to see 'operatives', take a look at the governor's race in Oregon.

I'd guess is that the big money there, trying to unseat the incumbent governor, who is a Democrat, is Koch money.

A lot of outrageous distortions of the truth by Republican operatives. Generally, such goes bad in this state, but things may have changed.

We'll see what the results are in November.

Two months....including 'October Surprise' territory.

Kate Brown won by 7 percentage points in 2016's special election. I'd guess that lots of Oregonians are pretty pissed at FFvC, and will be voting Dums down the line...I smell lots of stinky orange gas coming out of the cesspools that used to be wetlands...

Fixed it for you.

It's not just operatives. Republicans in general started having problems with the truth when Nixon got in trouble. By the time of the Reagan Iran-contra controversy, "problem with" became "contempt for." By the Darth Jar-Jar administration, they simply unmoored from reality entirely and never looked back.
