An 11-Point Plan to Rescue America: What Americans Must Do to Save the Country
by
US Senator Rick Scott, R-FL
The militant left now controls the entire federal government, the news media, academia, Hollywood, and most corporate boardrooms – but they want more. They are rede-fining America and silencing their opponents.

Among the things they plan to change or destroy are: American history, patriotism, border security, the nuclear family, gender, traditional morality, capitalism, fiscal responsibility, opportunity, rugged individualism, Judeo-Christian values, dissent, free speech, color blindness, law enforcement, religious liberty, parental involvement in public schools, and private ownership of firearms.
Pure victimhood.

"1. Our kids will say the pledge of allegiance, salute the Flag, learn that America is a great country, and choose the school that best fits them."

I'd like to abolish the Pledge of Allegiance. It strikes me as as rather fascist. I'd prefer some alternative like "Let us come together and build our nation."

"2. Government will never again ask American citizens to disclose their race, ethnicity, or skin color on any government forms."

Thus hiding evidence of racial inequities.

"3. The soft-on-crime days of coddling criminal behavior will end. We will re-fund and respect the police because they, not the criminals, are the good guys."

I'd like to see what he has to say about the 2021-Jan-6 attacks and the recent Canadian trucker protests.

"4. We will secure our border, finish building the wall, and name it after President Donald Trump."

"5. We will grow America's economy, starve Washington's economy, and stop Socialism."

Using a favorite content-free dirty word.

"6. We will eliminate all federal programs that can be done locally, and enact term limits for federal bureaucrats and Congress."

But most crime is handled by localities and states, so he should leave it up to the local and state branches of the Republican Party. That aside, is he willing to accept term limits for himself and his fellow Republicans? Would he like Mitch McConnell term-limited out of office?

"7. We will protect the integrity of American Democracy and stop left-wing efforts to rig elections."

Pure projection.

"8. We will protect, defend, and promote the American Family at all costs."

Contradicting that part about having states and localities do everything. Also, what great unified entity is "The American Family"?

"9. Men are men, women are women, and unborn babies are babies."

Even early embryos?

"10. Americans will be free to welcome God into all aspects of our lives, ..."

Would he like it if his villains started claiming that all they are doing is following God's orders?

"11. We are Americans, not globalists."

You can see why Mitch McConnell didn't want to roll out a specific policy agenda, this Rick Scott document is fucking nuts.

"Socialism will be treated as a foreign combatant which aims to destroy our prosperity and freedom" is either pure bluster or a call to imprison or assassinate a wide swathe of Americans based on their political beliefs.

The plain reading of "No government assistance unless you are disabled or aggressively seeking work" is the termination of Social Security -- or it's bullshit.

"Force Congress to issue a report every year telling the public what they plan to do when Social Security and Medicare go bankrupt" is the document's only mention of Social Security or Medicare, Medicaid is not mentioned at all.

They're defunding the tax police: "» We will immediately cut the IRS funding and workforce by 50%."

Well this is bad.
Referring to "7. We will protect the integrity of American Democracy and stop left-wing efforts to rig elections." It strikes me as pure projection.

MG again
"The Democrats favor using your taxpayer money to finance political campaigns. No serious person would ever favor this. It must never happen."

Nobody told him I guess...

This combination right here is eliminationist logic, just horrific stuff.
Referring to
Humans are born male and female, there are two genders, and to deny that is to deny science.

No government forms will include questions about "gender identity" or "sexual preference."

Back to MG.
"All social media platforms that censor speech and cancel people will be treated like publishers and subject to legal action." ????
Like this? Trump App Truth Social Reportedly Bans Account for Mocking Devin Nunes - CNET - "A user says his account, @DevinNunesCow, was banned before he could even log in to the social network."
here's a ton of insane Fox News rhetoric and culture war salvos, but don't sleep on some of the quietly radical and destabilizing policies, like "All federal legislation sunsets in 5 years" or "Sell off all non-essential government assets, buildings, and land."
Does that include military stuff? Will the US armed forces be disbanded and military assets sold if Congress doesn't reauthorize them on schedule?

"Republicans want to raise your Americans." I think he meant taxes, because "All Americans should pay some income tax to have skin in the game, even if a small amount. Currently over half of Americans pay no income tax."

Rick Scott pushes own GOP agenda as McConnell holds off - POLITICO - "The first-term senator's plan includes a mix of longtime Republican positions as well as culture war politics that define many GOP voters in Trump’s wing of the party."
Among Scott’s priorities: completing the border wall and naming it after former President Donald Trump, declaring “there are two genders,” ending any reference to ethnicity on government forms and limiting most federal government workers — including members of Congress — to 12 years of service.

...
The 11-point plan is a mix of longtime Republican positions, such as enacting a national voter ID law and shrinking the federal government, combined with culture war politics that define many GOP voters in the pro-Trump wing of the party.

You'd have to change the constitution to do it." / Twitter

I wouldn't be surprised if some Republicans have proposed such a Constitutional amendment.

Republican Senator Blatantly Lies to Sean Hannity About Tax Hikes In His Plan
Most of the 59-page agenda is standard Republican fare. But on page 35, the reader is informed that under Scott’s plan, most Americans would have to pay more in federal income taxes. One of the bullet points on that page reads,

All Americans should pay some income tax to have skin in the game, even if a small amount. Currently over half of Americans pay no income tax.
As you can see, the plan clearly states that all Americans would be required to pay an income tax. And since most Americans don’t currently pay that tax, most Americans would therefore see their income taxes raised under this proposal.

Sean Hannity interviewed Scott on Tuesday night and at one point asked him about Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (accurate) claim that Scott’s plan includes a tax hike for many Americans.

“Did you see Chuckie Schumer saying that your plan is to raise taxes on more than half of Americans?” said Hannity. “I didn’t see that in your plan. Did you have that in your plan? Was it in invisible ink in the copy that I got?”

“Of course not,” replied Scott. “No, Chuck Schumer… wants to raise taxes for everything, while as governor I cut taxes and fees 100 times. We’re the opposite. But Chuck Schumer, he all-in to take every dime you have.”

I'd like to abolish the Pledge of Allegiance. It strikes me as as rather fascist. I'd prefer some alternative like "Let us come together and build our nation."
That is hardly better. Sounds like some Soviet shit.

"2. Government will never again ask American citizens to disclose their race, ethnicity, or skin color on any government forms."
Thus hiding evidence of racial inequities.
So-called "equity" is exactly the wrong approach. It's seeking equality of outcomes, when we should be treating people without regard to race, ethnicity etc. We should not discriminate against some in order to achieve some sort of proportional representation. That is the kind of attitude that was satirized in Harrison Bergeron.
Also, it's funny how people who demand "equity" are never proposing "equity" in NBA player slots. I wonder why ...

"3. The soft-on-crime days of coddling criminal behavior will end. We will re-fund and respect the police because they, not the criminals, are the good guys."
I'd like to see what he has to say about the 2021-Jan-6 attacks and the recent Canadian trucker protests.
January 6th and trucker protests are being prosecuted rather harshly but #BLMers have for the most part not been prosecuted. If truckers should be locked up for blocking roads, why not #BLMers?
Soft on crime is also things like Manhattan DA refusing to charge armed robbery as robbery but instead charging it as "petit larceny". It's ridiculous.

"4. We will secure our border, finish building the wall, and name it after President Donald Trump."
Securing the border is imperative for a functioning country. It should not be linked to a failure like Trump.
Also, a secure border is a necessary, but not sufficient piece of that puzzle. We also need to be able to deport illegals, prevent them from accessing jobs and public assistance and we also need to reform asylum laws.

Using a favorite content-free dirty word.
Socialism definitely has content. And DSA organization understands it perfectly (their website talks about public ownership of means of production) even if people like AOC do not.

I am all for reasonable term limits. Also, in a modern society, more things will naturally fall under federal purview than in 1800s. So I generally disagree with too much devolution some on the Right are advocating.

"9. Men are men, women are women, and unborn babies are babies."
And small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri are small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri.

"10. Americans will be free to welcome God into all aspects of our lives, ..."
God has rudely ghosted me though. I think he may be a catfish.

I think Newt Gingrich has every right to sue on grounds of copyright infringement. We've all heard this crap before.
