What he meant was that boys and girls may not have the opportunity to meet and fall mutually in love. Sometimes it’s because boys and girls are not considered marriage material based on today’s standards. This has everything to do with the environment they live in. You would know what he meant from his other writings. Do you think you’ve added something I’m hiding?

I knew an engineer in the 80s who worked in the Mid East. He said it was an open secret men had sex with each other due to the fact that the social norms prevented unmarried men and women from socializing alone.

That may be part of it, but in interviews and shows I have watched young kids who seem to know early on they are not attracted to the opposite sex.

What I see is Lessons as yet another who thinks he is a moral authority decreeing morality in a future world.

Forcing one kind of homosexual to change. Nazi kind of thinking.

I have nothing but contempt for any like Lessans.

He never fell in love with any of them. Nor will people like him vanish in Lessans’ imaginary new world.

He did have a first love, a boy with whom he was physically intimate. That boy was shipped to off to Iwo Jima where he died.

Vidal rejected “homosexual” as a noun. He said that “homosexual” was an adjective, as in “homosexual behavior.”

He had some kind of affair with Anais Nin, Henry Miller’s lover, but it’s unclear whether they ever had sex. But he did write love letters to her.

For most of his life he lived with a man. He said they never had sex. After this man died, Vidal said he loved him.

Vidal understood that sex and gender expression is fluid, as it would be naturally if we were not living under the crushing cultural burdens of crap like Christianity and Islam and Fascism.

All of these facts totally obliterate Lessans’ nonsense, which would be another cultural burden if adopted. Fortunately, it never will be.

You are way too defensive! Whether homosexuality is biological or environmental, he stated is that it’s nobody’s business who you partner with, but your own. The one thing that people will naturally gravitate toward is monogamy.

You are so confused, Steve, there’s no way to get through to you. This new world removes any moral code which tells someone what to do. There is no authority figure. No one will force anybody to change. It’s the exact opposite of what you think this book is about. You’ve learned nothing.
