This just proves we need better bomb control.
I blame the bastards at the National Bomb Association.
We do have pretty effective bomb control. You must have a license to purchase explosives, every sale is registered, you are required to immediately report any theft of explosives registered to you, explosives are manufactured with chemical markers to allow law enforcement to trace the origins of the explosives even after they have been used, you have to have a legitimate reason to use the explosives and you have to be trained in the use of them. All of which would make a really good start on a rational and constitutional regime of gun control.
The vast majority of illegal bombs used in the US are pipe bombs made with gunpowder that is not controlled because it is considered to be part of our gun rights.
Wow, that's such an unexpected reaction from you, Derec.
Yes, and so on-point, too.
It's just pointing out that Left (that dominates universities and this board) loves themselves some left wing terrorists.
I think both left and right wing terrorism needs to be condemned. You apparently think it's ok to reward left wing terrorism.
So I'm wondering, 'the Black Lives Matter' group has a building?
So the right-wing anarchists are at it again. Of course, the 'bomb' was provided by the FBI... again! I suppose the good news is that these militia's love their guns so much, they don't know how to make a bomb.

I don't condone any act of terrorism. Though I have to ask, are we to jail anyone related to a potential terror threat for the rest of their lives, even if these people aren't threats anymore?Weather Underground terrorists like Boudin are still "teaching" at universities. One of their members' sentence was commuted by Bill Clinton in 2001. This is by no means ancient history.
This is a fallacy that universities in the US are dominated by the left. It is one of the lies that has been repeated so often that even liberals accept it and don't challenge it.
The vast majority of university professors are conservative. Consider this list of profoundly conservative schools in the US,
- Engineering schools.
- Business schools.
- Agricultural schools.
- Theological schools.
- Every southern university.
- Nearly every midwestern university
- Most of the rest.
In my opinion, the conservative obsession with the supposed overwhelming liberal bent of university professors is meant for consumption by conservatives themselves to explain the "reality has a liberal bias" problem and the fact that the young venturing out for the first time tend to be more liberal than their parents. That it is not meant as a legitimate explanation for the non-conservative.
