Run Bernie, Run!

Now now, she probably made that mistake repeatedly... in jest. Because claiming Sanders was a woman would be funny but women can't run for Presid... wait what?

Palin Media Spokesperson said:
Her remarks were made in jest, if only to see how far the lamestream media would once again reach, in order to capitalize on its anti-Palin bias.

Wow, to think that woman was almost a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Wow, to think that woman was almost a heartbeat away from the presidency.

I like to believe that the rest of the Republican party is made up of reasonable, coherent people who just pretend to be the exact opposite to make Palin look like a reasonable choice in 2008. When they named her as the second most qualified Republican to be president.

Yeah..the GOP's reason for choosing Palin as McCain's running mate was, well, purely political. And a fatal mistake. Had they chosen Romney, and Romney had accepted, I think McCain would have beaten Obama.

See..their logic for choosing Palin went something like this: McCain was a tad too moderate and too much a maverick for the GOP spin-masters. But he was their consituents' favorite among the potentials they could muster for POTUS. So, what to do? Well, ya get someone MORE conservative and obedient. Someone less volatile and more Mom & apple pie. Of course, this can be done withe a male running mate, but they figured that a woman in there might garner some of the women Independent and moderate voters who were on the fence between McCain and the audacity of Hope with Hussein Obama.

Voila! You get a Sarah Palin. Perhaps the dumbest VP candidate ever. Makes Quayle look like a MENSA member. A woman who can barely form a comprehensible and logical sentence concerning world affairs. A woman who runs on the platform of rugged individualism and traditional family values, yet cannot even control her own kids.

The GOP better get its act together in 2016 or your next POTUS is gonna be Hillary Clinton. I believe the candidate with the best chance to beat her is Marco Rubio. If he runs he has my vote, hands down.

I like Rand Paul but he has little chance. Too much of a maverick. Rubio could get some of those women Independent voters who might look to Hillary against a Bush or a Perry or Cruz as the lesser of two evils.

Bernie Sanders? LOL. Has as much chance at winning as would Paris Hilton for the Fields Medal.

I agree with you that Sanders has no chance in the general. And that Rubio is the favorite for the reps now. Personally, I wouldn't vote for Rubio. He wants the US to "permanent large US presence in the mid-east".

He's a naïve "nation builder". Bush already tried that. I want an America first type of candidate.

Is Bernie Sanders actually a socialist or is he a social democrat? Does he want to nationalize the means of production?
I'd say he is a social democrat. In the US socialist isn't quite being a Marxist. I'm willing to bet, given a straight up survey, 60 to 70% of the population would agree with his views on the issues.

70% might be a little high! But yea, he's a social democrat. He wants a bigger safety net that some. But I don't think that he's an actual "socialist or Marxist".

Palin was the only thing that rejuvenated a doomed Presidential run for any Republican running after W.

You would only hope that that is the case. Bush and his policies lead us directly to the worse terrorist attack on the nation's soil since the Civil War, two unnecessary costly wars sold to the American people with lies and fear mongering, unprecedented income inequality and the worse recession since the Great Depression. These are just the worse of the low points.

He's not a true socialist. Those guys are nuts. It's been proven throughout the planet that spending other people's money sooner or later leads to bankruptcy. You see, there's no such thing as a free lunch!

Spending money is not the cause of bankruptcy (regardless of whose money it is), wasting money is

Well, technically it's not being able to pay your creditors that causes bankruptcy.

In many cases spending other people's money results in those other people becoming your creditors so there is some link.

But to be fair governments often have the option to print money or legally point guns at their owns citizens to shake them down of more money so they seldom actually go bankrupt. Though all the money printing and shaking down your own citizens can cause you to lose elections and/or find yourself swinging from a lamppost.

tell me

Just how often does the government point guns at you?

Using the wrong word there. Should read " Wasting other peoples money leads to bankruptcy. "

It's more of a constant threat than an actual gun pointing. If you don't comply then you get the actual gun pointing.

So the answer would be NEVER.

I thought so.

NEXT!

If you don't comply then you get the actual gun pointing.
And this is a guaranteed certainty in all cases? No other actions need apply? IRS agents show up at your accountant's office with guns drawn?

This worries you?

I'm fascinated you think this distinction matters. A credible threat of force is enough to get most people to comply.

If a woman is raped by a guy who tells her he has a gun do you ask if she saw the gun and maybe asked him to fire a couple test rounds to prove it was loaded?

I'm fascinated you won't answer a direct question.
A credible threat of force is enough to get most people to comply.
So you think when people file their taxes, they do so because their utmost fear is that if they don't file and pay if necessary, the government will point guns at them? This is what you think is going through the minds of most Americans?
If a woman is raped by a guy who tells her he has a gun do you ask if she saw the gun and maybe asked him to fire a couple test rounds to prove it was loaded?

And yet black men and boys are being killed by the government on a regular basis (actually happening, not being threatened or supposed), so may I ask, does that cause you fear as well?

OK to answer some questions directly:

1) Yes, I think people pay taxes because the government threatens force if you don't pay them. Voluntary taxes never raise much money.
2) Yes, I am aware that representatives of the government do kill some people sometimes and some of those people are black.
3) No, I am not particularly frightened representatives of the government will kill me because I generally comply with government's rules.
