The orange traitor is getting his orders straight from Russian TV now....

One of Russia’s state-run TV news programs this week expressed displeasure with newly announced sanctions being leveled against the Kremlin — and one guest said that it was time to put direct pressure on President Donald Trump to get his administration to back off.

Julia Davis, who runs the Russian Media Monitor website, reports via Twitter that news show “60 Minutes” this week held a panel discussion about actions Russia should take to retaliate against the latest round of American sanctions.

Vitaly Tretyakov, the dean of the Moscow State University’s School of Television, argued that the Russian government should use whatever leverage it had over Trump to bend the president to its will.

“Let’s turn this into a headache for Trump,” he said, according to Davis’ translation. “If you want us to support you in the elections, do what we say.”

Title and story say two different things. RawStory clickP0rn

Not sure what you mean, but "Russian state TV" is not doing any warning here. The RawStory article is about a show on Russian TV in which the Dean of Television at Moscow State University gives an opinion on what his government should say to Trump in an effort to get him to do something about the latest round of sanctions. So this Moscow University dean appears to believe, contrary to Putin's public statements, that Russia did interfere in the 2016 elections and that Trump owes Russia something for that.

I'm not sure that Trump can do much about the latest sanctions, because the State Department is imposing them on the basis of existing statutory power. Trump can order Pompeo to change State Department policy, but it would not be a good idea to do so before the November elections. By leaving the sanctions in place, Trump helps to counter the damaging effects of his ill-conceived Helsinki summit with Putin. After November, I expect Trump to be more active in making Putin happy. Putin probably realizes that and believes it is more important than ever for his country to try to influence the outcomes of Congressional races in November.
