Looks like god hates hypocrisy.
OKC politicos were more than willing to allow the 10 commandments monument up on state property in the spirit of freedom of religion...but when Hindus and Satanists wanted their monuments allowed in the same spirit of freedom of religion, the politicians started hemming and hawing and decided to put such requests on the backburner, meanwhile leaving UP the 10 commandments monument alone.
Now, it's down and legally, the politicians can't put it back up unless they put up the others. So now, they have to leave it down or face lawsuits. Everyone is well aware of this. As the Satanists said in their statement:
"Oklahoma City has the option to wait until the ACLU’s case regarding the legal status of the 10 Commandments is resolved before it permits its replacement. However, if the 10 Commandments is immediately reconstructed, our monument will be ready for unveiling quite soon..."
