So, did anyone watch the "cough cough" Florida gubernatorial debate last night?

At least this article MENTIONS some issues.

http://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics-government/voters-guide/article2835621.html

One striking thing at the end though. Crist had 20 seconds to "say something nice about Rick Scott". He went on to say his handling of the Ebola situation was very good and pro-active and basically gave him cudos. They then asked Scott to "say something nice about Charlie Crist" and Scott's answer was "Uh, well, that was a nice thing he said" THAT WAS IT. STUPID JACKASS couldn't even muster THAT up.

Scott has been a failure as governor.

He is widely despised.

But Crist is damaged goods and for that he may lose to somebody who should have been easily beaten.

This is what we are faced with. A CEO of a company that committed massive Medicare fraud... and a quasi-Moderate "flip-flopper". This should be the easiest walkoff homerun ever in elections. Scott should get crushed like the PC Party was cleansed from the face of the Earth back in 1993. But it is a nail biter. The god damn electorate is fucking stupid and the Democrats are bloody morons.

Hopefully we won't have Lex Luthor as governor anymore. I didn't watch the debate itself but I did see, on MSNBC I think, how childish that Scott was acting.

Scott has been a failure as governor.
He has some points in his favor in terms of having reduced the unemployment rate and having facilitated/negotiated the implantation in Florida of corporations who have in return increased the ratio of job offers.

He is widely despised.
I wish it were the case. He is certainly not despised by the high ratio of GOP voters representative of our retirees population. Further, if you venture in wealthy neighborhoods such as Bayshore in Tampa or Gulf front properties in Pinellas County, you will not get the impression that "he is widely despised". Considering the high number of Scott campaign posters on their properties. (to include Bondi's campaign posters).

But Crist is damaged goods and for that he may lose to somebody who should have been easily beaten.
Alex Sink was not damaged goods and yet Scott won the previous gubernatorial ticket. And at a time, the scandalous Medicare fraud was still fresh in the mind of Floridian voters.

Further, what will decide who will be the next Florida Governor :

- whether there will be a massive turn out of Democrat voters rather than a foot dragging process on their part.

- a point in favor of Crist being his association with and support of the legalization of medical marijuana, now officially on the ballot. Such proposed amendment 2 is a magnet to young adults voters and first time voters.

Aside, but the most current poll shows about 15% of undecided voters regarding Amendment 2. Pulling that 15% towards a "yes" to the amendment is very tough because the DNC did not invest much efforts in adds supporting Amendment 2 versus the GOP having produced sensationalist adds which of course grossly misrepresent the intent of Amendment 2.

And the electorate obfuscation continues. For conservatives, he lowered unemployment, but Obama sucks at job creation.

But his approval rating has been under 50% since he was elected. It is currently under 40%. How can he possibly be in the race?

His policies have hurt working people to support corporations. He is a believer in pure trickle down economics. He does absolutely nothing except help the rich get richer.

His education cuts devastated Florida's public schools and they have yet to fully recover.

He has been a disaster.

He is widely despised.

With normal working people he is widely despised. With people who can't see beyond the Republican party he is a Republican, that is all they need to know. They are not thinkers. They are devoted followers.

But amongst CEO's and the ultra-rich, he is not despised.

Alex Sink was not damaged goods and yet Scott won the previous gubernatorial ticket. And at a time, the scandalous Medicare fraud was still fresh in the mind of Floridian voters.

Scott spent $72 million of his own money given to him by a corporation that stole the money from Medicare first. He spent more than anybody ever had to become governor. He plastered the airwaves with campaign lies and distortions.

The fact that all the Democrats could up with was a retread in Charlie Crist just shows how pathetic the Democratic party is in Florida.

That fan represented an unfair advantage.

Rick Scott gets messages from fans.

His job "creation" is actually very weak. It was expected that during an economic recovery a certain number of jobs would be created with or without interference from government. He also ONLY includes private sector increases and ignores public sector decreases. His record is actually very dismal.

I won't say he isn't trying but he won't be able to keep his "promises". Plus, unfortunately he ignores everything else.

Rick Scott is a giant douche.

Too bad our democratic voters nominated a turd sandwich to oppose him.

This should have been a slamdunk year for the democrats and this seat.

It's Crist, not Christ. Whoever made that picture must not be too big a fan.

The fact is, it is incredibly strange that anybody would object to a fan.

But Scott is from another planet and his ways are beyond us.
