I understand and empathize... Normally such a thing would pass right under my radar... but I feel such desire for him to feel pain that I too have become this petty, just to feel better about being nearly powerless to right the wrongs.

It's not like the symbolism of it is unimportant. Fake skin color and fake hair on a man who lives a fake persona. In literature, that picture would be subtext for the the naked ugliness that lies beneath. A bald, bone-white substance-less core with nothing to offer but death and emptiness.

Granted, even the hackiest fiction writer wouldn't even bother writing such a story because it would be too one-side and too unbelievable. Yet it's reality.
