Something happened in Turkey: Why has no one posted about it?

Why do we need to acknowledge everything that happens? What if violence in [x] location isn't worth talking about? Could we generalise the set of events we usually talk about, and create a thread about the trend, rather than the minutiae? I won't hold my breath, but something to think about.

We're warned not to shoot armed or unarmed burglars in the back while moving away from us, yet I bet the officer who shot the bomber from the rear won't be brought up on charges.

OK, I'll bite. WTF are you on about ?
I didn't think it through. Disregard.

Posting drunk again?
Um, I was. I gotta do better.

Have another drink. You'll feel much better.

ETA: Buy us a round and none of us will give a shit too.

It's not a threat to Murica so it doesn't count.

Are you saying that people who don't care as much about what goes on in distant places to people they don't know, and that doesn't affect their lives is somehow a uniquely American thing?

Are the French spilling tears as if it'd happened in Paris? Is the UK grieving in the streets as if it'd happened in London? Russians in Moscow? Japanese in Tokyo?

Do you go into a personal grief cycle when you hear about someone you don't know being murdered just 20 miles from you?

No, I'm saying it's an issue in America. Yes, it's an issue in other countries too.

It's muslims killing other muslims in a muslim majority country. It's not particularly interesting to be honest.

It's still people getting killed.

Actually Turkey is a surprisingly nice place and getting pretty modern. I've visited there a few times on business only. Where I visited didn't look like the other Islamic countries I visited. Even the headscarf is quite rare.

I'm sorry to say that Turkey has been turning a blind eye to jihadists crossing from Turkey to join Daesh. They have been allowing the foreign fighters because they kill the Kurds. Turkey hates the kurds.

What the Turks intended backfired. The Kurds killed ISIS troops and ISIS killed Turkish people.
Turkey should now seal its borders and stop Britons going to Syria through its borders.

My cousin is currently studying there. She loves it there.

Some parts are getting quite modern. Of course for fast foods, there is McDonald's and also local places. The Hotel service was excellent when I visited there before.

I'm guessing you are over the age of 30.
People under the age of 30 expect every aspect of every person's life to be documented in complete detail for all to read on the social networking site of the day.
Millennials have surrendered their privacy in exchange for a comment on every bit of useless minutia. It's how they know they are wiping their ass correctly, or correctly reciting the day's SJW line..
