Stephen Hawking's PhD thesis crashes Cambridge web servers

As much as I like Luke Cage, it's nice to know that it's not just comic book TV shows on Netflix that can overwhelm servers. ;)

:D

Shoot, I know at least 5 people (beyond me, my adviser, and committee - the people that HAD to don't count) have read my dissertation and I think that puts me well above average in that regard. There are apocryphal (pre-internet) stories of new PhDs putting $100 bills in their printed dissertations in the university library, coming back 20 years later and finding the bill still there, undisturbed.

Maybe thousands read it so the money disappeared real quick, and then, the day before you come to check, somebody else wants real bad to see if the thing is read at all and put themselves fresh $100 bills.

Ok, that's... less likely. :p

Hmm ... *heads off to nearby universities to "read" dissertations*
