How did I not know that this was a thing? We did our Valentine's dinner last night, because we're busy all weekend, and I had our Echo playing chamber music. Out of the blue, I hear Zeppelin's crowning achievement done with violins and cello. It was a bit too dramatic for a romantic interlude, but later I did a web search to see who the group was, and found dozens of performances, all over the world, from quartets all the way up to the London Philharmonic.

I've listened to a few, and the song really does fit the instruments well. It seems as if everyone has a go at it.

Was this common knowledge among people who have listened to Led Zeppelin?

Plant and Page themselves have an awesome version of Kashmir with orchestra on No Quarter.
