Mormon prophecy? A religion with an entirely fictional history (at least the Tanakh has a little grounding in actual events that happened... not a lot, but it wasn't completely made up), trying to make a go at prophecy?!
Mormon prophecy? Did it come out of a hat?
Don't know. Guy who came up with prophecy was too drunk to remember.

Not on subject but what would be an example of a religion that wasn't entirely fictional?

King David existed. I don't think there is a single shred of evidence suggesting anyone in the Book of Mormon ever existed.

Jimmy Higgins said:
King David existed.

Oh really? Do you have evidence of that? I've always heard that the evidence from that era is sketchy.

It might be more accurate to say that there was a House of David lineage for sure, but this far more than the Morons have...

Few modern Biblical archaeology discoveries have caused as much excitement as the Tel Dan inscription—writing on a ninth-century B.C. stone slab (or stela) that furnished the first historical evidence of King David from the Bible.
The Tel Dan inscription, or “House of David” inscription, was discovered in 1993 at the site of Tel Dan in northern Israel in an excavation directed by Israeli archaeologist Avraham Biran.

The broken and fragmentary inscription commemorates the victory of an Aramean king over his two southern neighbors: the “king of Israel” and the “king of the House of David.”

Ksen, what planet have you been on? His papa (Rafael Cruz) regularly talks about Carnival Cruz in such language, just not the Mormon part.

funnily enough, outside of a presidential election campaign Ted was probably taught by his dad that Mormons were worse that atheists and pedophiles.
Probably. This is one crazy election cycle. Romney barely avoided being cursed by his Moronism. And Cruz has the backing of the Duck Dynasty star, and still can't get nearly the redneck vote that Trump is getting...

Thank you.

Though if the inscription is from the period when there was both Israel and Judah, then it isn't direct documentation. There's no reason that a foreign king wouldn't take the claims of descent at face value, without bothering to investigate before he carved it on his trophy wall.

I suppose maybe the best thing to say is, the people actually were in the area they were allegedly having all these adventures... instead of the Sci-Fi level fan-fic of the boat rid from the Middle East to fucking Peru!

[Glenn] Beck said that he, like many Mormons, believes in a prophecy that the Constitution will hang by a thread in the last days. He said he believes that now is that time, and people like Lee and Cruz will save it.

Jesus christ, now Cruz is being touted as the fulfilment of prophecy?

Now I am literally getting scared.

Im not completely up to date on the latest prophecy rules, but supposedly, a prophecy is about something that is gods will, so at the very least Cruz would have to be going against gods will, and at worst prove that men can actually go against gods will... or maybe he is god and just changing his mind about something?:confused::confused:
