Ted Nugent Says Something Stupid... Again

 
 
 
I thought he was supposed to have moved...or be dead by now.
 
I like the fact that Alaska basically told him he is not welcome here.

Nugent pleads guilty to Alaska hunting violation, apologizes

The story is from a few years back so the comments are no longer available, but as I remember it, for every poster trying to make excuses for him there were 3-4 others pretty angry at his failure to respect Alaska hunting regulations. Alaska is a very hunter-friendly place BUT our wildlife is the primary source of protein for a lot of folks, and no one likes it when people don't respect that. Wealthy hunters from the Lower 49 shooting game for sport and then dumping the meat is the worst, but Nugent's "gee, I didn't know I couldn't keep shooting bears until I got a trophy hide and some good footage for my TV show" doesn't go over well, either.

The plea deal Nugent reached with prosecutors contained a provision that Nugent couldn't hunt or fish in Alaska or on any U.S. Forest Service land for a year. It's too bad it wasn't longer, but at least it was something.

I've told this story here before so if you've already heard it, stop me. (Oops, you can't! :p)

My BiL has a friend who is also a friend of TN's Michigan hunting guide. He's full blood Chippewa Indian. The Chippewa guy goes out and scouts the deer until he learns where the trophy buck roams. He goes back, tells TN where and when the deer is likely to be. TN goes out, shoots it, then says "Look how great a hunter I am." Total fraud.

BiL's friend also told me about being at the Chippewa guys house working on his truck together. TN came by. After they finished discussing their business, Chippewa guy introduces TN to BiL's friend. Ted just turns and walks away. Chippewa guy was extremely embarrassed about his friend being so rudely snubbed.
