What is worrying is that most Americans are actually dumb enough to give any credit to Trump and the GOP for the improvement in these economic indicators.
Trump and the GOP are doing to massive harm most people's long term economic well being, and to public services and public resources, which will lower most people's quality of life in the long term. Not to mention the harm they are doing to moral, social, and scientific progress. So, if a short turn stall in economic recovery would damage the GOP in the mid-terms and a Trump re-election, then I would be all for it.
