I looked at print media frm the 19th century that is online. Today is no different.

Jefferson was mercilously attacked as someone who would sell us out to France. One side calling the other weak on defense srarted early.

Operatives wrote bogus articles under false names.

Honest Abe Lincoln was a political façade, a fabrication. The iconic pictures were all staged. His operatives used dirty tricks at a convention. Contrary to popular myth he was not born poor. His family had land.

The COTUS is supposed to protect us from tyranny by a balance of power. What protects us from the media?

The words 'freedom of the press' has been abused. The press assumes the right to crawl up anybody's butt looking for something to print. The government can not harras a citizen, but the media can and does. They assume a moral authority.

It is just as corrupt as politics.

In the first half of the 2Oth century the word nigger was not uncommon in main stream print media. There has never been any morality in the media.

The JFK family image was a political fabrication. Pictures of his kids in the Oval Office. Jack and Jackie, the perfect American family. She went along with it.

What makes Trump stand out is his blatant corruption, fabrication, and lies.

CNN is more subtle than FOX or MSNBC but just as biased. I can watch CNN now on an issue and know beforehand what the leading questions will be for a guest and what the reponses will be.

CNN has come to revolve around turning bits of hearsay into breaking news. We just heard this from an anonymous source and we have a distinguished panel to spin it...and so on.

When Sharpton joined MSNBC he stated he would never say anything negative about Obama. The MSNBC opinionators are just as bad as FOX.

FOX is more blatant about it, but they are all essentially bullshit. I have to laugh now when I hear someone at CNN talking about sacred duty to speak truth to power.

CNN was showing dead bodies in the river at the border, yet has yet to have an objective balanced debate on immigration.

Speaking of the media...

Rush Limbaugh reveals advanced lung cancer diagnosis

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh revealed that he has been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.

On his radio show Monday, Limbaugh, 69, also said that he would likely miss some time on the program while he undergoes treatment.

“Ladies and gentleman, this day has been one of the most difficult days in recent memory for me because I’ve known this moment was coming in the program today,” Limbaugh began. “I’m sure you all know by now, I really don’t like talking about myself, and I don’t like making things about me other than in the usual satirical joking way.

“So I have to tell you something today that I wish I didn’t have to tell you,” he continued. “And it’s, it’s a struggle for me because I had to inform my staff earlier today ... I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer."

Is Rush part of the media? He doesn’t claim to be non-biased. The problem is with “journalsts” who pretend to be impartial but obviously are not.
