The PLO's Charter recognizes Israel??

You actually submit this Israeli propaganda rag as source material? You really had to dig to get that. Why should Palestinians accept that a "nation" devoted to an alien concept of god and that kills your women and children and regularly razes their homes and seizes their lands should always be allowed to exist? We are watching an ongoing COLONIZATION of Palestine by mostly Europeans that mistreats the indigenous peoples of the area. Its separation wall makes it clear that Israel's regard for the native peoples was and remains apartheid. There is absolutely no reason we could expect the Palestinians to feel it is important to keep the Israeli government a "Jewish nation" to Netanyahu's standards.
 
Well, I would hope that they recognize Israel. It would be a bit of an awkward faux pas if they misidentified them and ended up driving Lebanon into the sea by accident.

So it sounds like you are agreeing with Loren that the PLO charter has not been amended as has been so often claimed. You are just giving your reasons that it wasn't.

If it had been amended, it would be easy to see WHY SUCH AN AMENDMENT WOULD BE RECINDED. Whether it ever was or not is really quite immaterial. Israel's colonial activities in Palestine has been continuous since the 40's. It is really disingenuous to criticize a virtually powerless entity (PLO) for doing or not doing anything.

Where did you see me criticizing the PLO in that post? I was criticizing the non-Palestinian PLO supporters who have for years been claiming that the PLO charter was amended to recognize Israel's right to exist. I assume that you are not a member of the PLO.

Where did you see me criticizing the PLO in that post? I was criticizing the non-Palestinian PLO supporters who have for years been claiming that the PLO charter was amended to recognize Israel's right to exist.

It seems that non involved people have such a tenuous contact with these matters they may think they know because of this or that snatch of sound bite seems to indicate a condition that does not actually exist. I wasn't criticizing you for anything actually. For instance seeing that famous handshake at Camp David might make it easy to imply that relations had improved to that point. Of course we know no such warming actually occurred. I think it is extremely easy for people not close to the issue to be mistaken.
 
If I were Palestinian and stuck in Israel I would convert to Judaism. I wonder what the State of Israel would do if Arabs in the country converted en mass.

People just don't do those kinds of things with their religion.

It might be an effective tactic but people are not wired that way when it comes to their religion. They think their god is staring directly at them every second of the day.
