Everyone has heard about the whistle blower who claims the US government has alien artifacts. How much of this do you think is simply bull, something to direct attention away from something else, or maybe there is truth to it?

Two stories.

One, the Captain Easley you read about in stuff about the Roswell "crash" clean up is actually a distant cousin of mine. I never met him but I thought it cool I'm kin to someone sort of famous for something.

Two, an elder at my church was a bomber pilot stationed in Roswell a few years after this "crash" happened. He said he had no idea what happened but the people on base and civilians in town would get mad, fighting mad, if you brought it up. Something did happen that did result in someone threatening some folks apparently.

None of my two stories prove anything about what happened but they are cool stories.

How much of this do you think is simply bull,

All of it.

My old college roommate was very involved in the UFO community. His side hustle was making UFO-themed art, and a lot of it was based on his own "abduction" experience. He made the rounds at the conventions, illustrated a few books, and sold his works online. He was a very good artist, and I have no doubt that he sincerely believed he was abducted by aliens. We talked about this over email for quite awhile in the early to mid 90s.

Do I believe he was taken up into a ship by "the grays" when he was a child and visited throughout his life? No. I chalk it up to a combination of that one summer when he and his girlfriend did a whole lot of acid in our apartment, and the trauma he experienced a few years later when he barely survived a fire that burned down his apartment building. The latter event was the one that "triggered" his "memories" to come back. His very creative mind translated that trauma into an "experience" he'd never had. PTSD works in strange ways.

But I never said that to him. He'd lost a lot of friends over his transformation into a UFO true believer, and my take was basically "hey, if that's your truth, then while I don't agree with you, we're still friends."

Years ago, I was on a forum where a lady posted there. Her father was a retired Air Force major. He had some Air Force buddies who come over and hang around, play cards and drink beer. Her verdict on all of this? None of them semed to have sense God gave a goat. She did not believe any of their wild stories passed on third hand or worse. Especially on UFOs. For what that is worth.

There have been alleged insider whstle blowers at least since the 80s. They aboud roday on TV shows, amny of tem who were miltray offcers, as if that alone made them crdicble.

People congregated on a hill top with a view of Area 51 taking pictures for years until the govt made it off limits.

Alleged inside documentation and claims on thereof are regular topics on Coat To Coast AM on radio, the successor to Art Bell the premier conspiracy theorist of his day.

A good example of the phenomena is the recent event in Los Vargas. A trail of a probable meeoer was seen and even recorded on a police body camera. A kid called 911 claiming horible scary ETs were wandering around. Police responded and foud nothing.

It brings to mind Orson Welles radio play of The War Of The Worlds broadcast as a live news coverage of an ET invasion from Mars. People panicked. Some loaded up the family car and headed for the hills.

We are saturated in scifi. People are primed to believe.

I've been up in small pane on a moonless clear night away from light pollution. It can be spooky. You can imagine anything.

One day I was flying over NH. I saw what appeared to be a bright object coming right at me. I mad a diving turn and when I looked around nothing. I circled and fooud it was the sun reflecting off something on the ground.

UFO? This is where we try to find out the identity of Asian porn stars?

I once saw an UFO. But it had lasted only few seconds until I realized it was Goodyear blimp with some LED screen.
Another time (in 2013) I saw some large bolide like thing. I saw it through thunderstorm clouds.
It looked like red flaming ball slowly moving from the west to east (consistent with space junk).
It looked exactly like cartoon picture of it.
