The UN admits rockets were fired from the schools in Gaza

I'm very much anti-terrorist. In the long run I consider terrorism to be a far greater threat than most everyone else on here--

Well that's very edgy of you to take a stand against terrorism, but that's not what I asked.

There are plenty of nations that are victims of terrorist attacks. There are innocent civilians killed by suicide bombers on a regular basis in Iraq, for example. Pakistan is hit by terrorists over and over again. Afghanistan. Somalia. Nigeria. Yet for the life of me I can't remember the last time you bemoaned the numerous terrorist attacks perpetrated in countries other than Israel.

Just for shits and grins, I looked up the list 'o terrorist attacks from last year:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents,_2014

There were five in Israel. Death toll (terrorists excluded) was 12. There were ten times as many people killed by terrorists in Nigeria in January alone of 2014.

But I digress.

I didn't ask you about terrorism. I asked why you are such an ardent defender (or apologist) for the State of Israel.

I suppose I shouldn't hold my breath waiting for an actual answer.

The intruder has no rights.

It is no crime to use any means to prevent naked aggression.
Then we are in agreement: Hamas has no right to intrude UN schools, and UN is entitled to use any means necessary (including firing personnel, shutting down schools and cutting funding) to stop the intrusion.

That's so righteous of you Jayjay. It does a body good to see such a compassionate view of humanity in general. And you have never tried to do something difficult, have never faced stiff or brutal military authority. Good work Jayjay.;)

Oh look, another thread from Loren Pechtel about how Israel is perfectly innocent and righteous and never does anything shady ever.

I was expecting another idiotic screed against the Estate Tax and how it drives good aristocratic families like the inbreds who let him do cabinetry IT out of business, or maybe another demonstration that he has no fucking idea what the word "culture" means.

Oh well, live and learn.

Aren't the rockets aimed crudely in the direction of Israel? Aiming at civilians would be novelty of technology they don't have.

They're almost always aimed at Israeli population centers. A city lacking a substantial military facility is civilian.
Launched crudely in the direction of a city, sure. There is no doubt that they are trying to kill Israeli civilians. But to say they have the ability to really aim the rockets is misleading.

IDF ordered to fire indiscriminately. You see someone, shoot. - IDF soldiers.

That group doesn't bother to fact-check the claims. They've been known to have people talk about committing atrocities where a basic fact-checking would show they were lying.

That's not a rebuttal. You're admitting they are attacking an invalid target--committing a war crime.

They have the soldiers themselves telling the stories of how they were ordered to do these things.

Ahem! "Basic fact checking:" is for Loren....ask Netanyahu...or his representatives....so it appears to me. To my memory, Israel has never done anything that Loren finds violates basic standards of human decency.

The very fact this thread exists is because he is grasping for justification for the killing of 2200 Palestinians, including many children. Is it because he supports the giving our our aid to Israel and does not want to see it stop? We owe Israel NOTHING...NO TANKS, NO CLUSTER BOMBS, NO fighter planes. It was not a war. It was a turkey shoot with dehumanized Palestinians playing the turkey role. The schools in question where Hamas went and hid and used weapons were closed. It is next to impossible to deliver aid in a country where indescribable violence is raining down. Instead of guns and missiles, to Israel, we should be sending humanitarian aid to Gaza and demanding Israel get out of the way.

Did my post go in one eye and out the other?

They have soldiers who claim to have done these things. Consider, though:

1) The people making the claims get money for doing so.
2) In at least one case it has been categorically proven that the guy couldn't have actually done what was claimed by a simple checking of the calendar. You don't get into the IDF if you're not 18--and he's claiming to have done things at a time he wasn't yet 18. Oops, pants-on-fire time. Their failure to do the basic arithmetic shows they don't care if the stories are true or not.

I see no reason to think the other stories are any more credible than the one that's been shown to be pants-on-fire.

And where's the outrage over the death toll from Saudi bombing in Yemen? Similar death tolls but since it's not the Jews doing it it can't be used to Jew-bash and thus nobody cares.

And it's still unresolved how many of those 2200 died at the hands of Hamas. There's no question it's a fair number.
