Thread to follow HUUUUUGE Teaparty protest in DC 5/16/2014 - 10 million patriots!!!

I'm a rather well known Facebook atheist/progressive, yet no one has shown up at my door to deport me from the country. I guess I'm just low on the list, but I'm getting tired of waiting.

I love the image of that guy with the distress flag - just standing right our there in the open with no flak jacket or nothin'. Super duper mortal danger there, dude!

I noticed that none of them even flinched at the sounds of the drones flying above them.

With so many brave patriots out there there is hope for our country.

In retrospect it was probably a mistake for so many to wear camo to the demonstration, it makes the crowd look smaller than it actually is as so many blend in to the natural surroundings of the Mall.

On the other hand the camo does seem to make the individual wearers seem to be larger. It must be true what they say, the camera does seem to add an extra 100 pounds to a special forces toned body.

Is this like that person who called on truckers to descend on DC and drive at exactly the speed limit to choke traffic*? Do these guys understand that people don't really have time for this sort of nonsense, and would much rather, you know, do their jobs and make money to pay bills and put food on the table?
That's exactly what talk radio tends to say about left-wing protests as well - how they are always so successful on a weekday because they are all unemployed and on welfare whereas conservatives all have jobs. :p

That's because they don't know what they're saying. Local stuff like Moral Mondays in NC is one thing - among any other issues, that's actually organized in some reasonable manner. 10 to 30 million for a silly goal like "throw the bums out!"? Man, if you had been in DC for Obama's first inauguration, or during *any* weekend in spring, you'd know that this is basically impossible.
