I loved the old cast and I can see why Jeremy had to be dumped. I didn't expect the producers to replace them all.

I have trepidations.

It will be interesting to see how much they tinker with the formula to accommodate a new and larger cast...because let's face it, Top Gear had become rather formulaic.

Jokes at the expense of Hammond's height. Jokes at the expense of May's driving ability (or lack thereof). Jeremy fawning over the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car guest. The review segment where they sing the praises of the car until halfway through the segment where there's a "but..." and then maybe the car isn't so great. And the increasingly obvious staged nature of the challenges.

I hope they don't just try to shoehorn these new presenters into the old roles is what I'm saying.

I enjoyed the old show while it lasted...

Apparently they have a new show on Amazon coming in the Fall, called "The Grand Tour"...

I have seen only one cast member, Matt Le Blanc, in shorts, but it doesn't appeal to me. We will see!
