The opposition leader was travelling on the 11.AM from Kings Cross to York.
I've travelled on this overpriced cattle truck a few times and I believe his story could be correct. Unless you book in advance there is no guarantee of a seat. The seats may seem empty but they have reserved signs on them.

Prices vary for second class up to just under 100 pounds or from 135 to 185 pounds for a single first class tickets. Just like plane tickets the cheap offers go quickly.

Normally I get a very early morning train to avoid the swarms
