Maybe the solution to the issue of membership in the G-7 is not to re-admit Russia but to throw out the USA.

Russia benefits greatly from either.

Not with the US out of the G-7. It permits them to deal with Russia without the USA.

I disagree. The US outside of the G-7 gives the G-6 less leverage. Russia is loving how effective Trump has been at weakening our relationship with our allies, reopening Europe up for his benefit.
